International Church - Debrecen

Eva translating for me at ICD.

Hawk on a sign.

A hawk taking flight!

The city of Debrecen, Hungary is located in the north-eastern part of the country, close to the Ukrainian and Romanian borders. I have dear friends who live in this city and are a part of the International Church of Debrecen.

I was invited by this church to come and speak, and it was a precious time of worship and the Word in this multi-cultural congregation. My topic was "How big is your God? or Your God is too small." The main passage was 1 Samuel 8:4-21 with further discussion coming from John 6 and John 11. In the end, our challenge from the Lord is to see Him as the perfect king, provider, the God of the impossible and the only One who saves!

One of the neatest things Edith and I experienced on the road-trip from Szeged to Debrecen was a 3 -hour route lined with trees and numerous, numeous hawk sightings along the way! (KH, you definitely 'get' that picture!!!) In the natural, hawks have very sharp eyes and are keenly aware of all that is going on around them...and for us on a spiritual level, we too need to be so connected to the Holy Spirit that we are keenly aware of what God is showing us and teaching us!
