Quick recap of trip to central europe

Bea, Arden, Bela, Dori, Regina and Eszter in the Szoreg "Tent of Meeting"!

Pizza party with former English teacher colleagues in Szeged, Hungary!

Worshipping together in the Budapest, Hungary Prayer Room!

This blog entry will be very quick...mainly because I am sooooooooo tired and am heading off for my first nap of the day after travelling 19 hours yesterday and the day before...well, whenever it was that I actually left Hungary! ha!

God sooooooooooooo blessed my time in both Hungary and Ukraine! I realized early on that going for 10 days was far too short a time as I did not get to see many friends (you tend to build a lot of friendships when you stay someplace for 11 years!), and even those I saw, the few hours we got together flew by! That said, the Lord really blessed the time and both meeting friends and being blessed with numerous opportunities to minister to and pray for people made this trip an absolute BLAST!

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to everyone who made the trip possible! My faithful supporters, my wonderful friends in Hungary and Romania who hosted, housed and fed me, and my friends in KC who looked after my cats and house!

I am especially excited to see how God waters His seeds planted in both Romania and in Hungary, specifically in Szeged and Szoreg, and in the Budapest Prayer Room and their ministry school! Please pray that God would continue to water and grow all those seeds!

I received soooooooooo much love and encouragement from individuals and had so much fun catching up with people! I was able to give away lots of my books (Walking Forward-Discoveries in Freedom and Forgiveness), as well as Adoration Prayer Books (by Bob Hartley) and Pure Heart (by Tom and Donna Cole). Again, pray these tools will be used by the Father to bring people into His heart of love!

More pictures to come later.......now I'm off to bed for my first nap of the "day-after travel!"

From Hungary with love!

Full days and nights are keeping me on the run here in Hungary for this very short visit. I'm having a blast reconnecting with people, realizing I've lost very little of my Hungarian (which motivates me to keep it fresh!), and I look forward to the next visit, whenever the Lord opens that door!

Thus far, since arriving in europe, I have travelled by train, car, bike, trolley, and on foot. Ya gotta love europeans. I've met over 50 "old" friends and met a slew of new friends, and have enjoyed some very typical Hungarian dishes!

God is so good to bless me in this way...and I still have 3 full days ahead of me!

Visiting Hungary in November!

The past 24 hours have been wonderful! I've been praying for a while about a return visit to Hungary to visit friends, ministries, etc., and finally, having found an EXCELLENT ticket price for November, booked a ticket! Whoo hooo! Not only will I be in Hungary, but my dear friend and missionary there is organizing a ministry trip into Romania...so, this will be a VERY productive trip! Thank you Lord for Your provision!

More importantly, I've heard from a number of Hungarian friends...and ALL of them are THRILLED about my coming! I don't think I've felt THIS MUCH LOVE in a while. Oh, I know I'm loved, but this is almost overwhelming the responses I'm receiving from friends there. One friend, who reads my blog...hee hee hee...said I'm arriving on her birthday and I am the best birthday present she could ask for! This is humbling to me beyond words!

Another friend on facebook reminded me today that it is 107 days til I get there! HA HA HA! I had to laugh out loud about that one!

So, while my identity and "success" is based 100% in simply being a daughter of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, having people love you is a sweet icing on the cake of life!

Oh, by the way, I spent 45 minutes on a skype call today to my former neighbor in Hungary who speaks no English and practiced Hungarian...so far, I still got it, although slipping a bit!

Hoorah Szeged Women's Basketball team!!!

Gotta love that final score!

How I catch these balls IN the net.....I'll never know!

Don't tell me basketball is not a contact sport!

Again, in the net!

My friend Michelle.

What a great afternoon of women's basketball in Szeged! The Szeged team, after having lost to Sopron on Monday night in Sopron, got revenge at home Wednesday afternoon! It was a great game, and now Szeged travels to Sopron for game #3 of the best of 5 series! Szeged has never been in the championship final, and they are hoping to win it all!

Yet more springtime pix

The yellow tower through the trees is city hall.

City Hall.

The newly renovated water tower and square at St. Istvan's ter!
I was being my bold self today. Yesterday, I took pictures in all these places and then accidentally deleted them...so today, I returned to these parts of the city to retake pictures.
In the main city square, where city hall is located, one is not supposed to walk on the grass...well, I did. I walked with confidence, pretending I was a professional photographer on a very important assignment...hee hee hee....and I was able to snap some fun pictures. These are just a smattering. Enjoy spring with us here in Szeged, Hungary!
