A friend of mine sent me a question/answer session which took place at a meeting of a major Christian missions organization this past week. Among the participants was R.T. Kendall who answered the question addressed to him from the audience: "What do you see as the failure of the American church?"
R.T. Kendall quotes a Chinese pastor, who visited the U.S. a year ago and visited many, many of the large, mega churches around the country. After his visit, he was asked, "What's your feeling about American Christianity?"
His response: "I am amazed at how much you do without God."
Father, forgive us, everywhere in the world, for doing things without You.
