Easter Monday is a national holiday here in Hungary and in most of europe. On that day, boys go to girls' houses and "sprinkle" them with water or perfume...it's an old pagan tradition, which not one girl I know likes.
I got surprised by Gyori, a young man who grew up in the children's home and is struggling now to survive. He showed up at noon on Monday at my house, dressed to a T, and recited his memorized verse and then asked if he could sprinkle me with perfume. In return, girls give the boys chocolates or money. Thankfully, I had some chocolate eggs to give him. (Thanks Michelle for leaving those in my car!)
