Grey days

It's been a pretty grey winter here in Szeged, the city of sunshine. In fact, when the sun does shine, I find myself squinting because it's a huge change. But whenever someone says, "Where is the sunshine?" I usually try to answer, "Oh, the sun is shining...above the clouds!" Of course I get a plethora of "oh, come on, that's lame."

But it's true...the sun is shining above the clouds...and we believers are called in our lives to rise above the clouds, the circumstances which may look grey, and fix our eyes on Jesus, whose light never ceases to shine. Rise up, I say, rise up!!
