This is Toby...after too much turkey! ha ha ha! Just kidding, this is an every day event for him...sleeping that is! Nice pose, huh?
Toby and Simon....chillin' on the sofa!
Christian Educators Outreach (CEO) is people who are broken vessels, filled with the Holy Spirit, to be used for His glory world-wide! I am one woman, married to a wonderful man, and sometimes I have some worthwhile thoughts about God, life, etc. which I like to post here. Enjoy!

Mark's Baptism
The video below is of my new friend and "little brother" Mark, who gave his life to Jesus about 8 weeks ago! It was a sweet baptism...one of about 40 that night! :-)

What a week!
I don't even know where to begin! I could talk about really boring stuff, like the fact that it is 11 p.m. and I am eating cereal before heading off to bed; or that Simon is sitting on the floor next to my feet, waiting for me to give him some attention; or maybe that we had our first dusting of snow this week. But I'd rather talk about how tonight, a man, about age 60, received his hearing in his ear that was deaf, or how a girl sitting next to me, who has been going to physical therapy for months for her back, received prayer and God healed her back completely; or how God broke off depression from another woman.
I guess in the grand scheme of things, both the mundane and the miraculous are worthy of mention!
Needless to say, life is an exciting adventure that seems to grow more exciting by the day!

If you go to www.ihop.org and sign up for the live webstream, you can join in what is going on here. Pretty amazing things! It does cost $10 / month to get the live webcast, but right now, I believe you will be blessed beyond words if you bite the bullet and pay the $10 and tune in, wherever you are in the world!

Something good is happening!
I'm not quite sure what to say. There is a move of the Spirit that is happening here in Kansas City...we pray that God in His mercy continues to pour out His love, healing, mercy, and joy!

Variety is the spice of life!
Yes, on any given Friday or Saturday night, this is the kind of crowd you will see gathering at the EGS (Encountering God Service), from many different nations!
I may have already posted this picture. My former student, Kitti Katona is second from the left. She is here in Parkville, MO getting her Masters at Park University where she is on a full-ride soccer scholarship. Unfortunately, about a month ago, she tore her ACL and just had surgery. :-(
I'm gone many hours of the day, so when I am home, my kitties love to be close to me. This is Toby, chillin' at my feet in the yard. :-)
Here comes Simon...always wanting to be included in the fun!
Part of my internship includes serving. Every Sunday morning from 10-11, I do parking lot duty at church! Don't you LOVE the flourescent vests and walkie talkies!?! We actually have a BLAST during this time, and on most Sunday mornings, we get our choice of coffee or tea from the coffee shop! whooo hoo!!! This duty will be fun in a couple of weeks when the cold weather and snow begins to hit! :-)

Home Improvements
This is my new garden plot where, in the spring, I will plant veggies! whoo hoo!
This is one of the "before" shots...that is nasty, soggy, muddy carpet .
This view looks down the side of my house, where a tenant must walk to get to the basement apartment. Not so pretty, and one must wear boots to slosh through the muck!

Raking leaves
Sorry, but this will be a pretty boring post. It was a gorgeous day today here in Kansas City! Temps were in the 70s and I was outside all afternoon....raking leaves! Yep, the joys of homeownership. The worst part is that I don't really have any trees in my yard...oh, I have a couple along the back fence, but they are not huge and their leaves are mostly still clinging to the branches. So, the 4 huge leaf bags I filled today are from my neighbors' yards. Hmmm, not fun. Great exercise, and I actually enjoyed it, but I could have spent my time otherwise, that's for sure!
This project of leaf-raking did, however, motivate me to do some other important projects, like work on the perimeter of my home and build it up so that rain water or snow won't seep into the basement, Lord willing. I also finally put the garden hose away for the winter, remembering to empty the water out of it. :-)
Oh, and I have a new walkway...now I didn't do that, but I'm fairly pleased with it. Actually, I'm only 1/2 pleased with it....I need to do some improvements to it. At least the girl renting my basement no longer has to walk across soggy carpet remnants or through mud! Pictures to come!
Told you this would be a boring post....sorry!

Loving life!
I just got an email from a former student of mine. We have been emailing a bit in the last month and I have pointed this student to Jesus as the only One who can fill us with His love, answer our questions, give us joy, meaning, salvation, and change our lives! This student has jumped in with both feet and writes that there has been dramatic change in life as a result...and this student is LOVING LIFE! I love God and how He just works so lovingly and patiently in our lives and all we have to do is continually look to Him, trust Him, let Him love on us, pour Himself into us so that our lives are radically changed and His love just oozes out of us, pours through us and blesses others around us! This student has encouraged me sooooooooo much!
