The prayer room is the window in the white tower, just below the "opening" half-way up the tower. One must climb 135 steps to get to the prayer room! How blessed to be able to look out OVER the city and pray!
"24 Hour Worship and Prayer"
Prazsak Laci, (Laci Prazsak), a Hungarian Christian leader and worshipper in Budapest, went to IHOP-KC a few years ago for a month, learned about 24/7 worship and prayer, and returned to Hungary, wrote a book in Hungarian about this vision, and started a prayer group at home, with the vision of watching God begin an IHOP in Budapest.
In January 2008, there was a dedication ceremony of the room in the tower pictured above, and 24 hour worship and prayer has officially begun in Budapest! Laci and his team were "given" this room, which is literally in a tower! One must climb 135 steps to the room! The ministry has been asked to pay for utilities.
Right now, Laci and a team of two others lead worship each day from 8:30-10:30 a.m. and another "team" leads from 10:30-12:30. During the other hours of the day, worship cds are playing. They are praying for God to bring His people to be a part of this ministry of worship and prayer!
I was blessed to be able to take part on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week from 8:30-10:30 each morning, and both days were wonderfully blessed times of praying for Budapest, Hungary, Christian leaders, political leaders, Israel and the world, and the Holy Spirit is definitely moving in this small, but faithful group of Budapest "warriors".

Arden,
This is so encouraging! We were praying for Hungary last week and now I have a picture of what we are praying for in Budapest. Thanks for telling us!

Isaiah 52:7-9
7 How beautiful upon the mountains
Are the feet of him who brings good news,
Who proclaims peace,
Who brings glad tidings of good things,
Who proclaims salvation,
Who says to Zion,
“ Your God reigns!”
8 Your watchmen shall lift up their voices,
With their voices they shall sing together;
For they shall see eye to eye
When the LORD brings back Zion.
9 Break forth into joy, sing together,
You waste places of Jerusalem!
For the LORD has comforted His people,
He has redeemed Jerusalem.
Isaiah 62: 6-7
I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem;
They shall never hold their peace day or night.
You who make mention of the LORD, do not
keep silent,
And give Him no rest till He establishes
And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the
earth.
Praise God, Jill! So good to hear this! Blessings upon you for your fervent prayers!
This morning a friend, whose daughter is at IHOP-KC emailed me about the 24/7 prayer for Budapest this month. I googled to find out more and was directed to your blog...and I recognize your picture from college! This is Deb (Rathjen) Olson...our family (we have six kids) has lived in Budapest the last five years, and we work with CCC at the EE Area Office here, among other things. A very small world! So good to hear of our common love of Hungary. We're in the process of updating our website olsonupdate.com if you care to see what God is up to in our lives. We keep in touch with Nina (Matic) and that's about it from NU I think. Blessings, Arden! Fun to re-connect.
